22 February 2021 - - Utility Warehouse (UW) is incredibly proud of our award winning heritage. Over the years, our trophy cabinet has been added to with each passing year, and nearly 20 years since our founding, the cabinet is jammed full.

UW now hosts 10 years worth of Uswitch Recommended Supplier endorsements, as well as the most recent win – the Which? Utilities Brand of the Year award for 2020. There are also Defaqto five-star ratings as well as several Moneywise commendations.

And 2021 has already seen us add a few more trophies to the packed cabinet. UW is thrilled to say that, for the fourth year in a row, we have won at the Uswitch Energy Awards for 2021. UW scooped two awards, as well as coming fourth overall in the Best Supplier Category. UW was given the top honours in the Best Reward/Incentive category as well as the Best Meter Reading Service.

The Best Reward/Incentive award highlights just how good our Cashback Card offering is, allowing UW customers to earn cashback to earn up to 10% cashback at selected retail partners. This cashback helps customers earn cashback against their monthly bill – delivering more savings in the process.

Taking home the Best Meter Reading Service highlights our commitment to delivering the fairest and most accurate bills to our customers. And, while we’re delighted to have won this award, we’re hoping that this time next year, our customers will be relying on their smart meters to keep us informed of their meter readings. So far, UW has installed 10% of all smart meters currently in the UK.

The Uswitch Energy Awards are a yearly event and are a real insight into how consumers see our brand. Uswitch conducts an independent survey each year, speaking to 17,000 people from across the UK who rate their energy suppliers against a range of criteria. So these are a true test of who consumers rate as the best energy suppliers in the UK.

To be named as one of the best four suppliers in the UK, especially during one of the most difficult years in living memory, is a huge achievement. It vindicates the approach we take to customer service and highlights just how happy our customers are to be customers of ours.

What’s even more impressive is that Utility Warehouse isn’t even on the panel of Uswitch suppliers. You won’t find us on any price comparison websites, meaning our Partners are the only way to sign up to our services.

Our UW Partners recommend our services to people they know, signing customers up and earning residual income for the new customers they sign up. Partners earn money up front for new customers they sign up, and earn money on an ongoing basis as long as the customer remains with UW.

We’re delighted to have started 2021 with this award win. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone involved in UW. Our staff have carried on as normal under difficult circumstances and our Partners have continued to sign up new customers while having to adapt the way they work. So, to everyone, we say a very big thank you.
