Fix your energy with UW to avoid the October price increase

< Back to Newsroom

26 May 2022 - The announcement from Ofgem that they expect the Government Price Cap to reach £2,800 for a typical customer this coming October - a rise of more than £800 on the current level - will have caused worry amongst consumers across the UK. Budgets that are already being squeezed will be squeezed even further and people will be wondering where they can turn to for help with their bills.

Over the last few months, the default position has been to stick with your current energy supplier because there were no better options out there. But that simply isn’t always true and UW is saying “enough is enough”.

Today the Government announced a universal £400 energy rebate. Whilst this is a positive step, it is still not enough and millions of people across the UK will be looking at a significant energy price increase this winter. And UW (Utility Warehouse) is uniquely positioned to help customers across the UK avoid this price increase and make big savings.

UW can offer a way out of the misery and help typical households fix their energy tariff at £2,250* when they take at least two other services (choosing from Broadband, Mobile, and Insurance). The price will stay fixed until May 2023, and including the £400 Government rebate, this will keep energy costs at £1,850 throughout the winter.

Our sustainable, multiservice offering, which includes broadband, mobile and insurance, as well as energy, means we can afford to offer lower tariffs and lower prices in a sustainable way.

We also do this with great service, recently being awarded three Uswitch Energy Awards for 2022. The pick of the bunch was Best Customer Service and Most Likely To Recommend, showing that customers truly valued how we look after them. This shows that our customers are in safe hands and we can offer best in class customer service.

There’s no time like the present. With more uncertainty on the way, take control of your energy bills with our fixed tariff and multiservice offering. The cost of living squeeze may not go away anytime soon - but our fixed tariff will help you keep your household bills significantly lower.
