London, 29th February 2024 - Utility Warehouse (UW) today launched the UK’s cheapest fixed energy tariff - with a huge £388 saving against the January price cap - enabling customers to lock in their energy bills until April 2025.

The three-service Fixed Saver 15 tariff is 20% below the current price cap at £1,540 and available to customers who take energy and switch at least two of their existing services - from broadband, mobile or insurance - to UW. The new tariff also offers customers a substantial saving of £150 against the April price cap.

For customers who want energy plus just one other UW service, UW’s Fixed 15 tariff is £1,590 for the year. This is nearly 18% below the current price cap, saving customers £338. It is also £100 less than the April price cap.

Unlike many other suppliers, the new fixed tariffs are available to both new and existing customers. Customers who sign up via a UW Partner are also eligible for a further £50 saving on their UW utility bill.* UW Partners provide personalised advice to anyone wanting to switch to the new tariff and how to save money on their household bills by bundling them together with UW.

David Walter, Chief Commercial Officer at Utility Warehouse, said: “By signing up to our new market leading Fixed Saver 15 tariff, customers can make significant savings and lock in their energy bills for the next 12 months. Not only is this tariff well below the current price cap, it’s also cheaper than the new price cap in April, giving customers price certainly well into 2025.”

More than 62,500 additional households switched to UW in the first 6 months of FY24 between April and September 2023, representing an annualised growth rate of over 14%. With more than 950,000 households taking more than 3 million services from UW, the business is on track to pass the one million customer milestone during the current financial year.

In January, UW secured the highest overall score for energy suppliers in Which?'s annual energy firm rankings. UW scored 75% overall - coming ahead of 17 other energy suppliers, including both major companies and smaller operators. UW scored highly for its customer service overall, the quality of its communications about energy costs, smart meter target performance and supporting customers who need it.

The new fixed tariffs are available from 9am on 29th February 2024. To sign up visit www.uw.co.uk for more information.
