Guarantee to beat the price cap
Our Energy Price Guarantee applies to customers on Direct Debit and does not apply to our Green Fixed tariff. When any changes to the Government's energy price cap level are made, we will adjust our own tariffs to ensure they comply with our Guarantee for the date the new price cap level is introduced.
5% discount applies to customers who switch their energy plus 2 or 3 other services (broadband, mobile and/or insurance - Bill Protector excluded. Boiler & Home Cover also excluded for tenants). Lower discounts will be applied to customers taking just energy, or energy plus one other service. Discounts only apply to customers on a variable energy tariff paying by Direct Debit with a credit meter and are calculated at a flat rate using the typical domestic consumption (as set by Ofgem) compared to the Government’s energy price cap level for default energy tariffs. % discount could be higher or lower depending on actual consumption. See terms for more details.
We’ve compared our bundled prices to some of our main competitors. Check out how we’ve done this below.
We’ve compared our most popular services with the average price of our main competitors' equivalent services. By ‘main competitors' we mean at least three of the largest suppliers by market share who sell a comparable product. The saving shown is based on the average of these competitors’ pricing when compared with an equivalent new UW customer who takes four services - energy (Double Gold variable), broadband (Ultra), mobile (Unlimited) and insurance (Boiler & Home Cover) and pays by direct debit on a credit meter. Average saving of £314 plus £50 Cashback Card credit.
Energy: Saving of £98 per year. Our Double Gold Tariff compared to the Government’s energy price cap (which is currently where most large suppliers variable tariffs are priced). Calculated based on the typical domestic consumption values (as set by Ofgem) of 2,900 kwh general domestic electricity and 12,000 kwh gas across all 14 regions. Correct 04/22.
Broadband: average saving of £36 in year one. This saving compares our Ultra broadband on a 18 month contract (incl. 10% discount for taking mobile - available to owner-occupiers and established tenants only) to BT (24 month contract), TalkTalk, Sky and Vodafone (18 month contract) on fibre 40Mb product or nearest equivalent. Includes introductory offers & line rental where available. Excludes call charges and any other add-ons. Based on an average 12 month cost. Correct at 17/3/22.
Mobile: average saving of £170 a year. The average saving of our Unlimited Mobile SIM only tariff compared with the closest equivalent tariff from EE (24 month contract), Virgin Media (24 month contract), Vodafone, 02, and Three (equivalent 30 day rolling contracts where available). Based on the average 12 month cost. Competitor pricing includes any new customer offers. Correct at 17/3/22. Insurance: average saving of £9. The average saving of Boiler and Home Cover compared with HomeServe, British Gas and Corgi nearest equivalent cover, year 1 prices including introductory offers. Correct at 17/3/22.
Cashback Card: Credit of £50. Credit is paid on first top up to qualifying customers who switch their energy, broadband, mobile, and an insurance product (either Boiler & Home Cover, or Income Protector) to us. Cashback credit must be used within six months.
