But probably the best way to answer the question ‘why should I join UW?’ is by letting the Partners themselves do the talking.

Understanding UW Partner best practices

While anyone can join UW, there are some core values that all successful Partners swear by.

Here are the basics:

Build a long contacts list
Just get a notepad and jot down the names of everyone you know – friends, family, colleagues, members of sports teams, neighbours, parents at school, etc. Then start thinking about who to contact first.
It sounds simple, but it’s one of the most important things you can do when you join the business. Making sure you have a healthy pipeline of potential customers is the key to enjoying steady earnings.

Focus on homeowners
Not only do you receive a bigger bonus for signing up a homeowner, but they’re also more likely to be a UW customer for more time, meaning you’ll also get more earnings in the long run.

Be resourceful
We’ll provide you with all the support and materials you need whenever you need them – but some things are best learnt by doing.

Always follow up
Learning to take ‘no thank you’ in your stride will help you massively as a Partner. Some people might not be interested – and that’s ok. For others, it might not be the right time to switch. Keep a list of people who are a ‘no for now’ – they often change their mind in the future.
And most importantly, always remember that for every ‘no’ there are plenty more people who will jump at the opportunity to save time and money on bills!
Remember –  you're not asking customers to buy something they're not already paying for. You're just offering to switch them onto a better alternative, which will save them time and money.

Look after your customers
Good communication before and (importantly) after you sign someone up to UW can really make the difference.
Great customer service is cited again and again as the main reason why so many people switch and then stick with UW for years and years. As the old UW saying goes – look after the customers and the earnings will look after themselves!

Enrich your Partner experience

Events, a thriving community, and even planting our very own forest – there are plenty of extra things to get involved with, if you fancy. The beauty of UW is that you can shape the opportunity according to your wants and needs.

Some Partners prefer a light touch approach – referring to their mates and earning that little bit extra cash to enjoy more of the good things in life. Others really want to get involved in all things UW, and make the most of all the great extra bits that are on offer.

If you’d like to get stuck in and enrich your UW experience to the max, here are some of the ‘extra curricular’ activities we offer:

Community spirit
Our Partners are a friendly and supportive bunch. Whether it’s at events, training sessions or even on a Facebook group, Team Purple will always jump to celebrate, help, and support each other.

Enrich your Partner experience

Enrich your Partner experience

Events
We host events throughout the year – some big, some small. Twice a year we really go all out, booking huge venues like Cheltenham Racecourse and putting on a proper show for the thousands of Partners who flock there.

As the saying goes: you don’t fully understand the scale of UW until you go to one of the events. But we also organise plenty of local team events – perfect for networking and picking up tips from more experienced Partners.

Get your hands dirty
As well as saving customers time and money, we are also committed to doing our bit of the planet. Our philosophy is all about harnessing the collective power of lots of small actions in local communities – from local litter picking events, beach clean ups, and even growing our very own woodland in Bryn Ayew in Wales.

An easy guide
to how you
earn with UW

Every time you sign up a new customer you can earn both a Customer Bonus and a Residual Income. Here’s what that means…

Customer Bonus

This is a monthly payment made to you as soon as you sign someone up. It’s typically £250-£300 per customer, if they’re a homeowner and opt-in to multiple services. And as much as £400 if you really get motoring!

Top tip: maximise your earnings by focusing on homeowners.

Top tip: Help customers see the full value of UW and switch to as many services as possible. Not only will they save more, but you’ll also get more commission.
The customer bonus is the perfect boost you need to top up your income, helping you get more out of life straight away.

How you earn

How you earn

Residual Income

The other way you can earn is Residual Income. Think of this a bit like royalties: Once you sign someone up, you’ll get a % of their monthly bill paid to you as a monthly commission for as long as they remain a UW customer.

Top tip: Residual income might start off small, but it can grow to a very large amount. Every successful Partner will tell you – look after your residual income.

Residual Income is what sets UW apart from all other businesses – it’s a steady monthly commission that’s paid to you no matter what for the lifetime of each of your customers. You’re literally earning when you sleep!
