The legal bit
You agree that by referring a friend and sharing your referral link with them, that we may share your name with the friend, so that they know who has referred them. Your data will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
To refer friends you must: be a UW customer & not be a UW Partner. The referral must: be a new UW customer, be the homeowner, use the unique link to sign up & have two different Eligible Services - energy, broadband, mobile, insurance (Boiler & Home Cover or Income Protector only) - live on their account when their second bill is processed.

You can invite your friends by clicking on "Save £50" in My Account or going to the UW App and clicking on the Refer-a-Friend tile and then sharing via the options provided.
As per our Terms & Conditions, our Refer-A-Friend scheme is for non-commercial use only. For example, you can't use paid promotions to share your personalised link more widely on social media.
Your Referral Bonus will be paid on your account in the ‘Credits & Debits’ section as long as your friend's eligible services are live. So if your friend joins in November under ‘Refer-a-Friend' you will see their credit on your January bill (which you’ll receive in February).
As long as your friend is a homeowner then you will both get £50 when they take any two eligible services (Energy, Broadband, Mobile, Home Cover and/or Income Protector Insurance).
Home Insurance and Bill Protector Insurance are excluded.
As long as they meet the eligibility criteria, they will get their Referral Bonus automatically applied as credit under the Credits & Debit section on their second UW bill once all their eligible services go live.
If a customer leaves before this, for example, during their cooling off period, or they cancel any of the Services needed to be eligible for Refer-A-Friend, you will not receive the Referral bonus.
Then neither of you will recieve a referral bonus.
