Bill protector
All customers are entitled to apply for our Bill Protection benefit (“Bill Protector”) which provides personal accident and accidental death cover (‘ Personal Accident cover’ ) for up to two named account holders, as well as paying your Utility Warehouse Bill (up to a maximum of £150 per month for a maximum of six months in any 12 month rolling period) (‘Accident, Sickness and Unemployment cover’) in the event you lose your main source of income through an insured cause. For Personal Accident, your cover will commence on the first day of the month following the month in which we produce your first Utility Warehouse Bill which includes the itemised monthly cost of Bill Protector and for Accident, Illness and Unemployment cover, your cover will commence on the first day of the month following the month of the third Utility Warehouse monthly Bill we produce for you which includes the itemised monthly cost of Bill Protector; to maintain cover, you must continue to pay your premiums, in full, on a monthly basis thereafter. No benefits are payable under this policy if, on the date an event occurs which may give rise to a claim, any amount invoiced to you by us is overdue for payment. Only one claim per Personal Accident cover and one claim per Accident, Sickness and Unemployment cover can be made in any rolling 12 month period. Where there is a loss which is covered by both the Personal Accident cover and Accident, Sickness and Unemployment cover then you will only be entitled to claim the Personal Accident cover benefit. If you ask us to cancel your Bill Protector or change the level of your cover, then this will take place with effect from the first of the month following the date on which a Bill is produced by us showing the agreed revised premium. In the event we are not supplying any Services to you (excluding Bill Protector), on the date that your Bill is processed, and there are no pending Services which you have applied for within the previous 42 days, then your Bill Protector cover will terminate with immediate effect and no further premiums will be charged. Details of the levels of cover provided and the full Terms and Conditions of Bill Protector are available on our website at www.uw.co.uk/legal/terms-conditions.

***Free light bulb replacement service.
a) This service is available to Gold and Double Gold customers who are either (i) an owner-occupier; or (ii) a tenant aged over 30 where we have installed a smart meter in their property. All the light bulbs in your home will be changed provided we have an LED equivalent, and your existing bulbs are safely and easily accessible. The typical value of £300 - £500 is based on 39 LED bulbs at an average retail price of £8 plus a £100 charge for fitting. Lifetime Guarantee only applies provided you have your landline, broadband and mobile services with us on the date you request a replacement; otherwise a three-year warranty applies. Other exclusions apply. 15% quoted saving based on a typical household using 2,900 kWh of electricity, where 39 traditional light bulbs are changed to LEDs, with an average reduction of 45W per light bulb (eg. from 50W to 5W) and where each LED light bulb is used for an average of 45 minutes per day. If we fit new LED light bulbs in your home and you cease to take any landline, broadband or mobile service from us within the following two years (which you were taking at any time after you requested our free light bulb replacement service), you'll need to pay a contribution towards the cost of the LED bulbs we provided; the size of this contribution varies between £2 - £8 per bulb, depending on how long your bulbs have been installed. This offer can be withdrawn at any time. Full T&Cs are on our website.
