UW Price Pledge: eligible new customers (from 22/04/24) who take 3 or more qualifying services and regularly use their Cashback Card. If a customer doesn't save with UW (incl. Cashback) in their first year vs their previous provider (or cheapest major provider where applicable), they can apply to claim the UW Price Pledge between 12 - 15 months after their sign-up date; the pledge & no exit fees only applies to qualifying services taken at sign-up. When you claim, we'll assume an average Cashback Card saving of £160 a year (based on customer usage data from 03.04.23 to 31.03.24, for users who earned Cashback at least at least once a week, excluding promotional activities) or your actual Cashback saving if higher. What will be involved to provision the full fibre service?

An engineer will install a Full Fibre service powered by the CityFibre network alongside your existing broadband service. This will involve: 

  • Arranging an engineer appointment where you need to provide access to the property 

  • Running a new fibre cable into the property and installing a new fibre optical network termination point (ONT) - some drilling work will be required to fix this to an appropriate place

Why would I install a second service to the property?

It’s an opportunity to try our reliable and powerful full-fibre broadband and compare it with your existing connection without incurring downtime on your existing service.

Do I need a UW Wi-Fi hub?

Ideally, you should take our router so that you can run both connections at the same time and experience no downtime at all. There is no postage and packaging charge for the UW Wi-Fi hub. 

If you ordered UW Whole-home Wi-Fi (eero devices) you will be charged £2.50/month per device even in the first 6 months. You will not be charged postage and packaging if the Eero devices were ordered as part of your broadband order.

What if I decide I don’t want UW Full Fibre?

You can cancel the service without any early termination fee within 6 months from when the service went live. If you cancel after 6 months, current rules apply (remaining monthly charges discounted by 20% + £10 disconnection fee)

What is the eligibility criteria for new customers?

Homeowners that take at least one more core service alongside a Cityfibre full fibre broadband service (energy, mobile)

What is the eligibility criteria for existing UW customers?

Only existing Non-Broadband UW customers who are homeowners with one other core service (energy, mobile).

Do I need to contact my current provider if I want to keep UW Full Fibre connection?

Yes, you do. Once you decide you are happy with UW Full Fibre, you need to contact your other provider to disconnect the other service. We will fund up to £400 of early termination fees if you take at least three of our services (one must be energy): energy, broadband and mobile. For more information see here.

Why isn’t this offer available to non-CityFibre Full Fibre connections?

We have partnered with CityFibre which is allowing us to offer this promotion in certain areas. Cityfibre is in 85 cities across the country and is building a network that will reach 8 million homes.

How much will I pay after the 6 months?

Full Fibre 100 and Full Fibre 500 are free for the first 6 months. From months 7-18 you will pay our new customer introductory pricing (£28 a month for Full Fibre 100 / £35 a month for Full Fibre 500). After 18 months, you will be out of contract and will pay our out-of-contract pricing.

If I cancel within 6 months, what happens to other services I have signed up for?

Your Energy tariff (should you have one) will be affected if the cancelled Broadband service isn’t replaced with another core service within the existing grace period afforded.

Can I change between Full Fibre 100 and Full Fibre 500 during the 6-month free period?

Yes. You will need to call to request this on 0333 777 0777.

What happens if I move home during the 6-month free period?

The 6-month free pricing will no longer apply at the new address and you'll pay our introductory pricing (£28 a month for Full Fibre 100 / £35 a month for Full Fibre 500).
