London, 22nd February 2024 - Utility Warehouse (UW) today launched the UK’s cheapest fixed rate energy tariff with a huge £333 saving against the current price cap - enabling customers to lock in their energy bills until April 2025.

The three-service Fixed Saver 14 tariff is 17% below the price cap at £1,595 and available to customers who take energy and switch at least two of their existing services - from broadband, mobile or insurance - to UW. The new tariff will be £95 cheaper than the April price cap.

For customers who want energy plus one other UW service, UW’s Fixed 14 tariff offers energy at £1,695 - a £233 saving below the current price cap and offering price peace of mind for customers who want to insulate themselves against further price cap volatility in 2024. It’s also £5 below the April price cap.

Unlike many other suppliers, the new fixed tariffs are available to both new and existing customers. Customers who choose to fix and sign up via a UW Partner are also eligible for a further £50 saving on their UW utility bill.*

David Walter, Chief Commercial Officer at Utility Warehouse, said: “Many households are still experiencing high cost-of-living pressures and are working hard to balance their budgets. Our new Fixed Saver 14 tariff - which is currently the cheapest on the market - offers customers the opportunity to make significant savings on their energy bills. It’s also even cheaper than April’s price cap - giving customers total peace of mind on their energy for the next 12 months.”

More than 62,500 additional households switched to UW in the first 6 months of FY24 between April and September 2023, representing an annualised growth rate of over 14%. With more than 950,000 households taking more than 3 million services from UW, the business is on track to pass the one million customer milestone during the current financial year.

Last month, UW secured the highest overall score for energy suppliers in Which?'s annual energy firm rankings. UW scored 75% overall - coming ahead of 17 other energy suppliers, including both major companies and smaller operators. UW scored highly for its customer service overall, the quality of its communications about energy costs, smart meter target performance and supporting customers who need it.

The new fixed tariffs are available from 9am on 22nd February 2024. To sign up visit www.uw.co.uk for more information.

*£50 Partner sign up credit is available to new customers who are homeowners, sign up via a UW Partner and take at least two selected services (energy, broadband, mobile, insurance - meaning Boiler and Home Cover or Income Protector only). Terms apply.
