As part of our boiler insurance, you’re eligible to book a free annual service to ensure your boiler is working as it should. A qualified engineer will visit your property to inspect your boiler system and assess whether any maintenance is required. They’ll report any findings and provide guidance on repairs or replacements.
As part of your boiler service, an engineer will usually:
Inspect the boiler and its parts for wear and tear
Carry out performance tests to check that all parts are working correctly
Evaluate the overall performance to make sure the boiler is heating your home efficiently
You will be left with a Service Document that will confirm whether the appliance is safe, highlight any warning notices and detail any repair work that may be required.
During the service, they will check the heat exchanger, burner/injectors, ignition and flame, electrical connection, system controls, fans, combustion seals, closure plate & PRS 10 tape, catchment space, location and stability, return air/plenum, ventilation and flue and operating pressure.
Every boiler is different. However, a typical boiler service takes 30-60 minutes.

It’s recommended that you service your boiler once a year to keep it running smoothly and efficiently. Regular servicing can help to prevent unexpected breakdowns before they happen, and ensures your boiler meets required safety standards.
