UW, which passed the 1 million customer milestone last month (March), secured the fourth spot out of 16 suppliers - a significant improvement from 13th place in the previous round of scoring. 

The multiservice supplier was ranked higher than almost all of the ‘big six’ (Octopus, British Gas, Ovo and Scottish Power) with a higher overall rating and improved scores for complaint handling and ease of contact. 

The data is based on the most recent figures available from suppliers themselves and a range of independent industry organisations, covering the period October to December 2023. Citizens Advice recommends that consumers use the ratings to help decide which supplier to use if they are thinking about switching. 

It comes just weeks after UW’s improving customer satisfaction levels were also recognised in this year’s UK Customer Satisfaction Index - the national barometer of customer satisfaction published by the Institute of Customer Service.
