Switching couldn't be easier. We'll handle the entire process. Services start going live in as little as two working days. We’ll keep you updated on progress during this time.
You don't need to cancel your old suppliers direct debit. We'll request meter readings and start billing you, at which point your old supplier stops. Nothing else changes to your energy supply and there's no disruption to services. Find out more here.
If you have a second-generation smart meter, or a first-generation smart meter made by Secure, it will transfer to us with all its smart benefits intact. We’ll start communicating with it to collect your accurate readings.
If you have a first-generation smart meter not made by Secure, it may not work with us in smart mode, so you may need to give us meter readings.
Our first-generation smart meters are made by the company Secure. Other suppliers who also use them include Utilita, Ovo, E.On and Octopus.

If you’re new to UW, sign-up here and start by choosing your plan.
If you’re an existing UW energy, mobile, or insurance customer, you can add broadband to your bundle by logging into your account.
We'll handle the entire process and it only takes about 14 days. You'll keep your existing telephone number, and if you don’t have a telephone line we can install one for you.
We'll send you a new SIM to put in you mobile. And you can keep your old number simply text PAC to 65075 to get a code which will allow you to bring your current number over to your new SIM.
Your old SIM will continue working until your number successfully transfers to your new UW SIM, ensuring you are never without service. Find out more here.
Switching is done by starting a new policy with us. You can select your cover online or over the phone. You will then just need to contact your current insurer to cancel your old policy from the date your new cover begins. Find out more here.
