Utility Warehouse jumps into the top two for energy customer service in the UK
UW takes second place in Citizens Advice ratings - it’s best ranking to date
London, 30th September 2024: Utility Warehouse (UW) has leapt into the top two for energy customer service in the UK - outperforming all of the ‘big six’ energy suppliers, according to the latest ratings by Citizen Advice.
UW secured second place out of 15 suppliers in the new rankings published today - its best result to date - up from 13th at the start of the year and 4th in the last quarter.
The multiservice supplier, which passed the one million customer milestone earlier this year, was ranked higher than British Gas, EDF, E.ON Next, Octopus Energy, Ovo and Scottish Power as well as many smaller suppliers.
The data is based on the most recent figures available from suppliers themselves and a range of independent industry organisations, covering the period April to June 2024. Citizens Advice recommends that consumers use the ratings to help decide which supplier to use if they are thinking about switching.
Rob Harris, Chief Operating Officer at Utility Warehouse, said: “Our brilliant team and state-of-the-art technology means we can offer the very best experience and support to our customers. While there’s always room to improve, we are laser-focussed on resolving customer queries quickly and efficiently, first time round. These latest scores prove we’re firmly on the right track as we strive to deliver a world-class service to homes across the UK.”
In June 2024, UW was awarded Best Value for Money and Best Customer Service at the Uswitch Energy Awards 2024. And in this year’s Which? Energy Supplier Rankings, UW scored 75% overall - finishing top - ahead of 17 other suppliers, including major suppliers and smaller operators. UW scored highly for its customer service overall, the quality of its communications about energy costs and supporting customers who need it.
