Secure your price today with fixed-price electricity tariffs
A fixed electricity tariff is where you pay a set unit price for the duration of your contract, even if energy prices increase. That’s why fixed energy tariffs can be a cost-effective option, as your unit rate and standing charge are locked up regardless of any fluctuations in the market.
Here at UW, we offer UW Fixed tariffs to new and existing customers to help protect their electricity prices. When you sign up, your electricity rates will be locked up throughout the length of your contract.
Don’t want to lock in? Save with our variable-rate electricity tariffs
If you’re worried about committing to a fixed-price electricity tariff, we also offer variable-rate tariffs.
Our variable electricity tariffs mean that your unit rate might go up or down depending on how the wholesale energy market performs. Our prices can change every three months in line with Ofgem’s quarterly energy price cap review.
With our market-leading variable electricity deals, you’ll also get a discount of up to £50 a year against the Government’s energy price cap on your electricity when you bundle more services with us.

How will my electricity bill be affected by the energy price cap?
Based on Ofgem's typical domestic usage, the energy price cap level is set to £1,641 per year, taking effect from 1 April 2026. This change reflects a typical household that uses gas and electricity and pays by direct debit.
Ofgem sets the price cap to make sure prices are fair for users on default energy tariffs, and that it reflects the underlying costs and inflation of the energy market. They review and update the price cap every three months.
