What is a fixed energy tariff?

A fixed energy tariff means your unit price for gas or electricity is locked in for the duration of your contract, so you won’t be caught off-guard by any energy price hikes.

This means that regardless of changes in the energy market, your cost of energy per kWh and standing charge will stay the same.

Your monthly bill may increase or decrease depending on the amount of energy you use, but your unit price will be unaffected by any future price fluctuations.

Do I need a smart meter to get an energy deal?

Yes, to be eligible for our fixed energy deals, you’ll need to have a smart meter installed. They help us better manage your energy usage and ensure you’re billed accurately. If you don't have one, we can arrange for a free smart meter installation.

What happens at the end of my fixed tariff period?

Around a month before your fixed tariff comes to an end, we'll send you an email or letter to let you know that you’ll roll over to our standard variable tariff.

If you want to re-fix, you can give us a call and we’ll help you find the best tariff that suits your needs. This ensures you continue to receive energy at competitive rates without any interruption.

Do I have to pay exit fees to leave my fixed energy tariff?

Yes, if you choose to leave your fixed tariff before the end of your contract term, you’ll have to pay exit fees. These fees help cover the cost of securing your fixed rate for the full duration of the contract.
