6 March 2024 - Utility Warehouse (UW) today announced it has passed its one million customer milestone as the company sets its sights on doubling in size over the medium term.

The FTSE 250 multiservice supplier has seen meteoric growth in recent years as British consumers have searched for ways to make savings on their utility bills during the cost-of-living crisis.

Since 2021, UW has organically signed up more than 343,000 new customers. In the last financial year alone, UW delivered over £30m worth of savings to customers on their energy bills and a further £8m of savings on its Cashback card.

UW now supplies more than three million services - from energy, broadband, mobile and insurance - to more than one million households in the UK. By bundling these services together into one, easy to manage bill, customers can access significant savings on their monthly payments.

Customers who join UW can also become part of its growing 65,000 strong Partner network. UW Partners provide personalised advice to anyone wanting to switch and save money on their household bills by bundling them together with UW. In return, UW Partners get trained, paid a commission for each new customer they switch to UW, earning on average around £500 a month - enabling them to secure a second income around their main job or other commitments.

Stuart Burnett, Co-CEO at Utility Warehouse, said: “Passing the one million customer milestone is a huge achievement for us and testament to our innovative business model. It shows that people are looking for a genuinely different way to manage their household bills, particularly with the cost-of-living remaining high. Our sights are now firmly set on doubling the size of the business from one to two million customers through a combination of our market-leading services and offering customers the opportunity to earn an extra income as a UW Partner.”
