Smart meter data requests

We offer every UW for Business customer with a smart meter a free service. You can request a copy of your smart meter half-hourly energy data to help you understand your past energy use and make informed decisions about how you use your energy in the future.
You can request a copy of up to 12 months of historical energy use data submitted by your smart meter.
To request your data, contact us with your account number and a clear description of your request. We’ll respond within 10 working days.
Depending on your selected data collection preference, we’ll provide you with all the smart half-hourly energy usage we have available from your meter over the past 12 months. If we have less than 12 months of data, we’ll provide information starting from the date your meter first transmitted data to us.
You can read more about your smart meter data collection permissions here.
If you need this data to be shared with an authorized third party, please use the process above to contact us and submit your written request alongside a letter of authority (LOA).
You can view your latest readings in your UW account. If you haven’t set up your account yet, you can do so using your account number and the ‘forgot your password’ option.
You can find tips on reducing your energy consumption here. You can also contact these impartial third parties for advice and support.
