Smart meter data offer
We offer every UW for Business customer with a smart meter a free service. You can access your smart meter's half-hourly energy usage online or request a copy of it to help you understand your past energy use and make informed decisions about how you use your energy in the future.
How to access your data?
You can view your half-hourly energy usage history through your UW Account. This is the fastest and easiest way for you to view your usage. If you haven’t set up your account yet, you can do so using your account number and the ‘forgot your password’ option.
Depending on your selected data collection preference, we’ll provide you with all the smart half-hourly energy usage we have available from your meter over the past 12 months. If we have less than 12 months of data, we’ll provide information starting from the date your meter first transmitted data to us.
You can read more about your smart meter data collection permissions here.
How to request your data?
You can request a copy of up to 12 months of historical energy use data submitted by your smart meter.
To request your data, contact us with your account number and a clear description of your request. We’ll respond within 10 working days.
Sharing data with a third-party
If you need this data to be shared with an authorised third party, please use the process above to contact us and submit your written request alongside a letter of authority (LOA).
If you have a traditional (non-smart) meter
You can view your latest readings in your UW account. If you haven’t set up your account yet, you can do so using your account number and the ‘forgot your password’ option.
